Biografia Don Omar

(Nombre artístico de William Omar Landrón, Puerto Rico, 1978) Cantante y compositor puertorriqueño. Educado en Villa Palmeras, un sector poco favorecido de Puerto Rico, Don Omar empezó a componer sus primeras canciones y poemas a los doce años; pronto se sintió fuertemente atraído por el reggaeton, un género musical surgido en Puerto Rico a principios de los 90.

Sus inicios musicales se vinculan a la iglesia, a la que estuvo ligado como pastor. Durante cuatro años fue pastor en la Iglesia de la Restauración en Cristo en Bayamón, que abandonó por un desengaño sentimental (su conocido tema Aunque te fuiste recoge este episodio de su biografía). En ese periodo formó parte de varios grupos que cantaban en celebraciones religiosas.
